Virtual Footprints is a collaborative, location-based mixed reality game about caring for Australia’s native plants. Players sow, grow and nurture plants in a shared virtual garden outdoors.

What you do changes the garden. Introduce an invasive species and your carbon footprint rises and the garden suffers. Make careful choices and it thrives.

Play as a way into conservation and biodiversity, specific to the region you’re standing in.

It launched at Curiocity Brisbane. The OrCha Collective then won a City of Melbourne arts grant to build Virtual Footprints: Victoria for the Victorian ecosystem, which showed at Playable City Melbourne during Melbourne Games Week and is free on both app stores.
